The track to the house is a bit rough so better in a 4wd than a little rental car but otherwise a peaceful place to stay. "This is my second visit to this idyllic spot in Moorea. A family run group of budget rustic cottages on the lagoon next door to the Hilton. The onsite restaurant serves very high quality food and a simple breakfast is included. The hotel sits oceanfront on a beautiful area of the lagoon with rays, sharks and fish cruising by all day. Air conditioned rooms which is rare in Tahiti and kayaks included, good for family on a budget. "

"Every other review is completely accurate. Amazing location, amazing amount of space, fantastic amenities for families (and family time). Our group was two families of four and everyone thought it was a fantastic vacation. We had a small issue one evening with one of the ACs not turning on, I messaged the host and 10 minutes later (late at night) he was there to show us how easy it was to fix (our ignorance...). "

"Nice bungalow just across from the lagoon and by a nice restaurant. Quiet and relaxing. Older property but well equipped and maintained. The only negative is that the bedroom had AC but the temperature was not able to be lowered and it was a little warmer than we wanted. Still I would recommend the place. Good value."

Beautiful place right on the ocean and very convenient to grocery, restaurants and ferry. There isn’t much of a beach but easy access into water and very shallow. "We had a great time. Well equipped with all our needs like a washing machine, coffee machine, excellent kitchen appliances and more. Good location near Temae Beach and lots of great restaurants & fun attractions. Nice backyard where the kids can play. AC all over the house and easy communication with hosts. "We enjoyed our stay in the Balinese style house. With a couple of the bedrooms separate from the main house, it offered more privacy for some members of our party of seven. The kitchen is well-stocked. There are two kayaks for us to use. Restaurants are close by. We especially enjoyed the access to the small lagoon which is good for snorkeling and kayaking."

"I had a lay over stop on my way to New Zealand, and the hotel was a nice stay, The staff was nice and friendly and my dinner was good. I didn’t have a change to walk around the ground because it was a storm off and on during my stay. But they did provide large Umbrella to move around the area. "

"The staff at Cooks Bay is outstanding. Every person I encountered was helpful and kind. My room was lovely. The beding was comfortably and the AC worked great. The pool bar was enjoyable as was the pool and beach area. I ate at the resturant once for each meal. The Mahi Mahi dinner was delicious. I really loved the sauce on the fish. The continental breakfast was perfect, coffee was strong, and the croissants buttery. Lunch was a huge blue cheese burger, yum. I really enjoyed my stay in Cooks Bay. I rented a scooter on site gor one day and drove around the island, just stunning views! Also, went diving with Moorea Blue Diving, awesome experience. I would definitely recommended Cooks Bay to all of my family and friends. "

"The hotel has bungalows and the restaurant is on the water. It is located directly on the beach in a very nice bay. The restaurant is very good but breakfast is too expensive for the food offered. You need a car to reach it from the airport or the harbor, and to move around the island. No public transportation and taxis are quite expensive."
