"The staff was friendly but calls to the front desk for extras went unfulfilled. The breakfast buffet did not feature sneeze guards and I witnessed people eating directly from the platters and then returning unfinished items to the platter. In our room: dirty and stained furniture, broken lamps, broken safe, and water leaking into the room during a rain storm!! This is a budget hotel in a bad area with nothing around besides a convenience store approx. 50m away. "

"The staff were great and the rooms cleaned well each day. The building though is a little dated and could do with remodeling. Outside was dirty and chaotic like most of Jakarta but this is not the fault of the hotel. Probably wont visit Jakarta again but if I did I would stay and the Menara Peninsular again."

"it was doing some renovations on several floors, so it's good they are upgrading. location is by major road so easy to find & for transportation. still needs improvement on cleanliness on the corridor, inside rooms are okay. window in the junior suite cannot be fastened so we can still hear traffic outside. receptionists and room service people are nice, security personnel still need improvement. Still 3 and a half star."
