"Fantastic bath facilities with a great view of Otaru. However wouldn't recommend leaving bags here after checking out as they weren't left in the same secure room they were placed when we arrived but out in the waiting area which was obscured from the front desk. Would use the coin lockers at the station for better security."

"Nice hostel in Otaru! Owners are friendly and willing to help out any questions you may have. No kerosene heaters required although there was a small one in my room that I used for a nightstand, not sure why it was there because there was also a wall mounted modern Hitachi ac/heater unit that was quiet and worked perfectly. This was my first hostel stay so the only thing I needed was a larger bath towel that was easily purchased a short walk away. Will be back!"

"check in time is 4 p.m. that 's too late , should be 3 p.m. If you come early you have to stand downstair because the elevator will start to work from check in time or have to wait for customer who has the code to open the main door and climb to the third floor which is the lobby room . No locker to keep your luggage . I stay In private room only have one bed no other facilities in the room , not suitable for the price. "
