As a package this is brilliant.
A real hidden jem in a small village with lots of facilities. Opposite the Castle and duck pond. Not far to lots of tourist hotspots and when you get back plenty of free parking.
Its an old building with creaking floorboards but that odds to the charm.

Weekend stay
Nice welcome from owner. Stairs are steep and irregular. We stayed on second floor. My metal frame bed was noisy and soft mattress. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast extra but go to pub next door for more choices/value. Unsuitable for those with access problems. Car park adjacent in corner of pub car park. My corner shower had high step in and was snug...

The property is very old, which makes it very quircky, which we loved. The views from the front bedroom are to die for overlooking the ruined castle and duck pond. The road is busy early morning and late afternoon, but that is to be expected and wasn't a problem. There are 2 pubs less than 2 minutes away for evening meals and it is very central to get around to various attractions. Debbie the lady who owns the property is lovely and very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. There is lots to offer for breakfast, we enjoyed the breakfast baps, very different. We enjoyed out 4 night stay and would definately go back again, so hence our recommendation that this is a great place to stay.

Lovely place to stay
Lovely place to stay, hostess very accommodating. Building very historic. Car park at the side. Whittington Castle opposite and two pubs only a stone's throw away.

Lovely if I was a deep sleeper
Beautiful setting opposite the castle and duck pond. The owner was really friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. Unfortunately I’m a very light sleeper and it’s next to a busy main road, so I didn’t sleep well. I only noticed the ear plugs provided the next day. If you sleep well I would 100% recommended.
There are local pubs in walking distance, fish and chip shop, plus a local store.

Clean & quiet in small village. Landlady friendly. It is an old property so floors creak in rooms & on landing but fine otherwise. On main road but ear plugs provided too. Will definitely stsy again. Whittington Castle right over the road also.

Lovely, clean characteristic room with large ensuite.
Plenty of tea & coffee facilities.
Bev was very attentive & helpful to make our stay perfect.
Cooked breakfast not available due to Covid but bacon bap with yogurt, breakfast bar, fruit & orange juice was plentiful.
Only negative was on a busy road but I'm not a good sleeper.

The owner was nice. BUT no wifi, squeaky bed and just cheap breakfast for £75 a night is too expensive.

Quaint b&b across from castle
A warm welcome, the owner well explained the facilities and helped with local food eateries. She was right on. Thank you. The rooms were well taken care of and clean with loads of tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. After a day on the motorcycle, it was pleasing to find a warm shower. Situated across from the castle it was a nice view. Traffic started at 5 which was fine fir me and they provided ear plugs for those who wanted a late start. As an asthmatic my lungs told me that old moisture in low heating environment were rebelling just s bit almost not worth mentioning but yes still there. The breakfast was more than full English. Filled beyond my needs with lovely filter coffee

The b&b was in a sweet little village just outside Oswestry and was easy to locate. There was parking right by the property and we were welcomed by the owner. Our room was a good size, lovely bathroom with a bath and shower and a good hospitality tray. The floorboards creaked and the stairs were a little steep but we were in an old property with character. The bed was very comfortable but there was a little noise from a fan or boiler for a short while sometime in the night. The breakfast was delicious with a gorgeous fruit salad & yogurt ,cereal fruit juice and full English with plenty of toast and hot drinks.
