I had been planning this anniversary trip for some time, carefully researching hotels in the area. Initially, we considered staying at The Adobe, but after reading multiple reviews about cleanliness concerns, we decided against it. That’s when we discovered the Overleaf Lodge. Guest satisfaction seemed to be very high, and the amenities were exactly what my wife and I were looking for. We were excited upon arrival, as the hotel was beautiful and well-appointed.
Prior to our reservation, I requested a higher-floor room, but unfortunately, I was informed that this request could not be accommodated. While I was disappointed, we were still eager to enjoy our stay. However, starting around 7 PM, we began to hear significant noise coming from the room above us. At first, we didn’t think much of it, but when the noise persisted past 9 PM, we called the front desk. A staff member, whose name I believe was Sheila or Shayla, answered and assured us that she would address the issue. When the noise continued, I came down in person around 10 PM to report the disturbance again.
Unfortunately, the noise persisted throughout the night. By morning, I was completely exhausted from the lack of sleep. At 9:45 AM, I spoke to a front desk agent, who informed me that she would contact you, Heather, as you were on the phone at the time. She also noted that I looked visibly tired and offered to extend our stay, but we were on a tight schedule and had to leave.
