"Even though this is an older property, the rooms were clean, the food was very good, and the staff was overall friendly and helpful. But, the beach is stunning. It's huge , crystal blue waters, soft white sand, plenty of areas to sit and people are never right in top of you. I have been here several times ... for the beach and low key , chill vibes. "The place was outstanding, the only bad experience was at check in. I notice guests were welcomed with a drink and we did not. The employee at reception just called out my room number but explained nothing. We left to find the room ourselves. The rest of employees were super friendly, the accommodation clean and I would recommend to everyone and come back again. Loved the excursions offered too right in the resort."

"We spent 10 wonderful days at The Verandah Resort. I previously stayed here 11 years ago and have always wanted to return and we were not disappointed. The setting amongst 30 acres of lush tropical gardens is simply spectacular. The rooms are all semi detached villa suites set amongst the gardens. We booked a Waterfront Suite which gave amazing views over the bay. Sitting on the balcony in the early morning and evening watching the pelicans and other bird life were priceless times of the day. There is a good range of restaurants- our favourite was Portofinos with a delicious menu of Italian dishes cooked to perfection. The quieter Rasta beach was perfect for chilling under the palm trees and walking across the sand to the beach grill for cocktails and lovely grilled dishes. One of the highlights of our stay was a tour of the plant nursery by Charles, the head gardener. His knowledge and enthusiasm was amazing and I felt very privileged that he gave up his time to share his love of the gardens. The feature of The Verandah which tops all others are the amazing staff. They are friendly, always laughing and enthusiastic and nothing is too much bother. A special mention to the lovely Nicole in Portofinos, the staff at the beach grill and all the buggy drivers! We hope to come back soon. Truly a very, very special place in paradise!"
