"Room was small but functional for one person and one can easily open a large suitcase on the floor which is not possible for most of the business hotels in Japan. Despite being on the first floor (floor 2) there was no sound from outside (a car park), no sound from any neighbours. The onsen was a major highlight open throughout afternoon, night and early morning so one can avoid the crowds. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Akita."

"Good location near Station can walk undercover to it. We are 70 but got allocated a room at the furthest end of a very long corridor far away from the only lift maybe as weren't members of Toyoko Hotel chain (maybe more thought from staff re that but could just be the auto computer allocation?) Breakfast was included but when we went down it was so packed with people there were not enough seats too small a dining room so skipped it & bought sandwiches at 7-11. We stayed at 5 of Toyoko Inns...

"After a couple weeks of typical small business hotel rooms in Japan, I was surprised to find a spacious single room waiting after check in. Excellent location as well, steps from the station entrance (can even walk inside, although it’s a bit of a maze through a shopping mall)"

"I booked this hotel at a pretty good value. I wasn't expecting much, but if this was the price range of Daiwa hotels in other Prefectures, and if the quality is consistent then I'd definitely keep booking! First of all, the hotel seems pretty new, or at least recently renovated. Interiors are modern & up to date. Staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms is slightly larger than a typical Japanese business hotel. This is especially evident in the bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower & bath area, a large sink and a fancy Toto toilet. The bed is slightly bigger, too. It seems like a full double with 2 pillows, and even has a small lounge & table (aside from the vanity). It also has a trouser press installed. The public spa area was one of the biggest I've been to. While I don't think it was a natural spring, the sento was large, lockers were plentiful, and the sauna can fit maybe 6 people at a time. They have the laundry area in the baths so you can do it while you soak. Otherwise, there's also a fancy massage chair you can use. "
