It’s really rare to find a place that doesn’t have roosters. Superb kitchen. Lots of functional space. Covered parking. Did I say quiet? Easy access to south Kona region. "The “Mongoose Manor” was a perfect place to stay on the south of the island. The hosts do a great job of taking care of your needs and the elevation above sea level is perfect for sleeping, with cool nights (no A/C needed). The days warm up but are still very comfortable if you decide to stay in. There are good beaches for snorkeling within 30 minutes, as well as the green sand beach and the black sand beach where there’s almost always sea turtles out sun bathing. If you’re big on cooking, the kitchen is very compact but is enough for light meals. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again if needing accommodations on the south Side of the island."
