"The house is very well placed for the beach (though not overlooking it), walks, the shop and Gustav's bar and restaurant (recommended). We were surprised to find the downstairs bedroom was not self-contained, so the other couple had to walk through to access the very steep stairs, the bathroom and the lavatory. The standard of equipment was high - sophisticated hob/oven, dishwasher and washing machine, but no dinner knives! Noirmoutier is glorious."

One negative aspect was the need to rent bed linens & towels for a hefty fee which we were informed of only after the deadline to be able to cancel.
