"The hotel is close to the Ropeway and Pirate ship, as well as a mainbus station and so perfect for getting around. I had a huge room with a great view of the lake. The public bath was also great. Yes, its outdated and there's a strange smell, but dont let that put you off, you will have a great time here."

"Everything was very DIY but is clean and is nice to have your private space. The price is the best thing of it all for 1- 2 nights maximum. "

"Shared bathroom and shower, but there are only 3 rooms. It was nice, quiet and clean. We didnt really spend time there just to sleep. AND it was about a 5 -10min walk to the beach."

"Great location in Hase area of Kamakura. Easy walking distance to beach and temples. Good public transit near by. Clean and quiet location. Didn’t realize I’d have to share a toilet with several other rooms. My room had a shower, but my family had to use another on the first floor. It was locked when they wanted to use it and no staff around to assist. They ended up using mine, which was fine as we’re family, but it would have been easier if the room key worked for the showers too. "

"The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rustic atmosphere. The amenities were good, and the staff was very friendly and spoke great English. "I really like this place. It was very cool and relaxing while there. The service was great and the lobby was very relaxing with very comfortable furniture. The place was a little walk uphill from the bus station and getting taxis were not easy depending on when you arrive. The downside was the shower took a long time to get hot and the water from the shower head in my room felt like sharp things because of the shower head. They should be changed. "初めて宿坊に宿泊写経や瞑想ができます。朝はお祓いをすると講中安全の守り札を授けてくださいます。内風呂、露天風呂もあり（浴衣の柄は選べます。ボディーシャンプー、シャンプー、コンディショナー、ブラシ、綿棒、バスタオル×１、手ぬぐいタオル×１あり、垢すりなし＝宿泊用を持って行って正解）夕食や朝食は大山の豆腐料理をとても美味しくいただきました。ただ一つ冷蔵庫がありませんでした（アンケートに記載しました）周辺には飲料の自販機がありますが、コンビニはありません（部屋には温かいお茶あり）それを知っていたので、オヤツは下山時にこま参道で芋ようかんや餅まんじゅうを購入。また宿に向かう下り坂の途中に良弁まんじゅうのお店があり単品で購入。美味しくいただきました。お陰様で素敵な大山参りができました。また機会があれば泊まりたい宿坊です。（Expediaで予約できる大山の宿坊は今のところココだけかも知れませんね）ありがとうございます（感謝）"

"What an amazing stay at this beautiful spot! Plan getting there ahead cause not all taxis will go right up to it but once we walked in it was a paradise! Greeted at the door, with the ultimate Balinese experience and hospitality with a welcome drink, custom options, a massage treatment to choose from, and then the room- wow! What a view over the hills with the onsen tub on the balcony!! The amenities, the robes, the traditional tatami and floor bedding- such an authentic yet comfortable experience! The private and catered dinner and breakfast experience along this tranquility was not only delicious but made us feel like royalty! The best part was the friendliness and attention of all staff! Thank you!!"

"My husband and I had the most relaxing night at Gora Hanaougi. The staff were the most attentive and kind. The kaiseki dinner and the Japanese style breakfast were both outstanding, full of local ingredients. The onsen was obviously the highlight of the stay. The private onsen in our room was quite the experience. The room had open air onsen, so we could get fresh air, but it’s covered so even during the torrential rainfall, we could enjoy the hot bath while listening to the rain. All in all, the only regret that we have is that we could only stay for one night, and not more, as we were on a tight schedule in Japan. Thank you to all the staff at Gora Hanaougi for making our stay an exceptional experience."

"Beautiful hotel- lovely surroundings. Stayed in the corner room on the forest tower and the room was fantastic- lovely view. So nice to use the onsen on the sixth floor of this building. Staff of course are amazing. Do be sure to stroll the garden- so beautiful. Breakfast is an affair each morning- felt very pampered. Highly recommend."
