"This was a wonderful stay in a remarkable place. The room was very comfortable with a balcony with a fantastic view. The food was excellent and the staff were really kind. The highlight was the "safari" with Kenneth, around the property to see birds. One of the best birding experiences we've had. "Azura was a beautiful and peaceful resort with a great beach and wonderfully friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation there and would recommend it to others. That said, the resort as a whole was short-staffed, which resulted in some longer wait times for food and drinks - not a deal breaker, just room for improvement. Also, given Costa Rica is known for its coffee, the coffee at the resort was subpar. Again, just room for improvement, but still a wonderful experience. "

"So, I want to be careful when writing this review. I’m not going to slam this place and say it’s total junk. It’s not. It is also not for anyone fancy, or anyone looking to enjoy a place near Sámara, and treat it as a home base. We stayed one night, and that was it. Carlos is a wonderful man who seems to be the manager. Very sweet, and you can tell he maintains the grounds and pool. The exterior of the cabanas are lovely, the pool is lovely, as are the flowers and such. I saw the reviews before...
