Relax and Enjoy - Waterfront Bach in Ngakuta Bay

A fully equipped holiday home in an easy accessible location. Direct access to water in front of the bach, larger boat launching ramp and jetty 2 minutes down the road.
Tenting area available. Family friendly. Extras include: BBQ, Outdoor games ,free use of a sit on kayak and dingy , lifejackets and fishing gear included. Freeview TV.
Our holiday home has been in the family for over 40 years . The lounge is particularly spacious and the section private, sheltered and a sunny location. It is an enjoyable place for the whole family to relax and enjoy with special extras like a children's fun bush walk and some friendly wekas within the property. By night a short stroll away are some glow worms that are well worth the look. For active holiday makers there are many bush walks to other bays in the area or mountain biking tracks to explore.

Lots of quiet places to pick up a book or fishing rod and take some space for yourself. There is a deck for enjoying summer meals, and alongside that an outdoor fireplace area where, so long as there is no fire ban, you can chat and relax with a drink or two as the family toast marshmallows.
The bach is also stocked with plenty of board games, books (adults and childrens) as well as DVDS for rainy days or if you feel like relaxing indoors.

Personal feedback we have received is that the holiday home is a special and favourite place. Easy to stay at and a unique property and location.
Special conditions:
No smoking or dogs allowed inside please.

Free use of a sit on plastic kayak (yak) a small dingy, and lifejackets.

Pillows and mattress covers provided, you will need your own sheets, pillow covers and towels .

Perfect getaway for re-uniting friends

For 3 couples this was so enjoyable. Plenty of space, great facilities, lots of activity...and we had great weather.One little hitch with the sit on kayak...has holes in it and started sinking with someone on it out in the middle of the bay.

Lovely family bach

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wedding Anniversary

Close to the water with amazing views, very private with plenty of activities both indoors and outdoors. Perfect weather on arrival and departure but unfortunately not good on our one full day at the bach so we didn’t get to use the dinghy or kayaks. It’s close proximity to Picton meant we could drive into town for dinner both nights.Overall we had an awesome time away and would love to return.

Amazing location

Great place to stay for a long weekend getaway. House is very cool with lots of space to play and have quiet time if needed. Lovely big lawn to activities, kayaks and dinghy were great. Lots of toys books and dvds for rainy days. Pretty much all bases are covered! Such a special place highly recommend.

Perfect place for families

Our family loved staying at this bach. A short walk down to the jetty and beach for swims, kayaking available. Plenty of space in the lounge and two large deck spaces to sit out and enjoy a coffee. Felt really relaxing and we had a 2 & 3.5 year old with us! We would def recommend this place. Plenty of fridge and freezer space which would be helpful for longer stays. Nicky was prompt with communication too - thank you so much!

This beautiful property is everything you’d want for a getaway! easy communication with property manager. The house had everything! new fridge and oven! plenty of board games, movies, piano, pool table, bbq, kayaks, outside shower, plenty of seating options and a huge garden to relax or play games.the loacation is stunning and definitely will come back! i can tell there’s many treasured memories made in this whare!! 10/10 stay, will be back for sure

A great stay!

We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it!! I've got 4 kids aged 4 - 15 years. There were things for all of them to do. There is a good selection of games and toys for all ages. We enjoyed the pool table too. It's a beautiful spot - great for fun in the sun!
