After you check in and you enter the cabin the hosts have this folder filled with so many recommendations on restaurants and trails and attractions which I have used throughout my entire stay. "Overall, we had a nice stay at this property. The house was just as pictured. It had a nice view from the living and dining room. The kids loved the game room. The owner responded to our message quickly when we had a small issue. The Cabin was only 20 minutes from Marcy Field, and it was easy for our hikers to catch the shuttle to Big Slide or other trails. The Forty Six restaurant is not far either and has some great food. It is not too far from Lake Placid or Whiteface either. "

It's in a great section of Jay, NY, and sits smack-center of a large property so you feel hidden away from the neighbors while still having access to the local amenities (walking trails, pavilion, etc).
