"Older property with some modern amenities. Overall very clean and updated room. It was a cold walk this time of year to and from our room, as it is an open air setup, but I would definitely stay here again. "

"Staff was great, they let us check in an hour earlier. The young man behind the desk was amazing and so accommodating. There were 4 of us to a rm and we had 3 cars. They had no problem with letting us park all 3. There is a mexican restaurant at the hotel. The food was very good the waitress and bartender were great! I have nothig negative to say about the hotel. It could use some updating. But I will and cant wait to stay again. "

"Beautiful Victorian house with great location . Walking distance from every restaurant and shop . With that comes the noise though . You can hear people all night long with the bars that are located on the street . The hotel wasn’t great for hot water either in the few days we were there I was only able to take one actual hot shower . "Very charming historic inn. Staff was nice and helpful upon check-in, and when i accidentally locked my key in the room. I booked the Bouvier room on the 3rd floor which was quiet and comfortable. Being a historic inn, I went in with the expectation that it would be low frills, which is was. But for the price, I think it's a great option for anyone staying in the Newtown area who wants historic charm and to be in the walkable State Street area. "

"The back entrances were great but they need to be handicapped accessible too. There is a huge step up from the parking lot to the curb, and is difficult to maneuver with balance and walking issues. "
