  • A uniquely designed home, spacious, beautiful views from every room, located in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to the city to enjoy the sights (11.5 miles) and far enough away to feel like a vacation. Salt water pool, gas grill and fire pit. Previous guests have praised the "spectacular views," "exceptionally clean," "outdoor space and pool are fantastic,'' and "everything you could need is here." Pets welcome.
    Enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Nashville one day and the next day enjoy water sports. Elm Hill Marina (2 miles) and Nashville Shores (5 miles) offer rentals and other activities. You and your friends and family can enjoy a quiet day around the pool and patio area or sitting on the upper deck watching the view and activities of the lake.
    Pets are welcome. Owners live next door, unobtrusive but available for any problem or concern. There is a large fenced in yard available for pets to enjoy a romp in safety.

Nashville’s BEST VRBO!

We had a wonderful stay! The saltwater pool was a delight and provided so much fun for our whole family. The property was spotless, and the hosts truly went above and beyond to meet our needs. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—Jim’s pie and cornbread were an unexpected and delicious bonus! I had hoped to meet Miss Mary as we share some common interests, but maybe next time. Great stay. Six days in Nashville.

Mary and Jim's home is well-equipped and clean, and we felt very much at home. It is located about 25 minutes from Broadway however, we liked that we were staying in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. Jim was very accommodating and was willing to help in any way. A great stay!

Lovely home and spacious. Very clean with beautiful views of lake. Bedrooms very large so toddlers could room with parents. Stairs were a challenge for them but adapted well. Jim was a great host and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay

We were in town for our daughter’s graduation and the home couldn’t have been more perfect. Jim and Mary are amazing hosts who made the check-in/check-out process so easy and made themselves available if we needed them. We were even able to host a small graduation party. The pictures do not do the house justice, it is a darling place and made for the perfect stay.

Quaint and clean

Very clean. Owners had setup fruit and snacks which came in very handy as well as other supplies. The rooms were large and clean and quiet. Great place that an easy drive to central Nashville and the Opry without noise.

What can I say about this location. My group always stays here for the Music Festival in June. Mary and Jim are amazing hosts and Jim makes the best pies. The pool is warm and inviting. If anything is needed or missing Jim and Mary jump to accommodate.

Great Hosts!!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were absolutely wonderful, went above and beyond, and provided lots of "extras" during our stay. Check-in was easy. The house was spacious and clean. Not overly little kid friendly, as we had a 2 and 4 year old in our group, but just had to kid proof it some and give lots of reminders. There were a few railing pieces that were broken/wobbly, but that is being nit-picky. We would definitely stay again!

Family Trip

Jim was there to greet us and made sure had everything needed. Breakfast items and snacks were provided and Jim’s famous chocolate pecan pie was delicious! Pool was a huge hit, very nice and warm! We were able to take our family dog and nice had fenced in yard so didn’t have to worry bout him getting away. About 20 minutes from Broadway.

Great Summer Retreat

Our family was looking for a home just outside of the city with a pool for the Tennessee heat in July. This was the perfect home that provided enough space for our family of five and two dogs. There is a nice fenced in yard with in ground heated salt water pool. The house had great air conditioning, came with water, snacks, and even useful refrigerator items such as milk, eggs and frozen pizza. The owners are right next door and extremely kind.

We had a great time. The host, Jim, is a great guy. I highly suggest this house. The house and grounds is beyond amazing. You wont regret staying here. My dog loved it as well as my family. Nashville get away

The house suited our needs very nicely. It was close enough to the city to do all the "downtown" stuff and yet keep us away from the hustle and bustle. One note: the pool is closed from November thru March. That was a disappointment. The owners were very responsive to any questions or needs that we had- thanks for replacing the garbage disposal!!

Southern hospitality beyond our expectations!

We have stayed at several locations through VRBO over the past 10 years. This location and our hosts were definitely the best! The home is pristine. The pantry and refrigerator were stocked so we didn’t have to think about breakfast after our 10 hour drive to Nashville! Jim and Mary were exceptional hosts throughout our stay. The pool was a wonderful treat at the end of a day of seeing the sights in Nashville. Don't hesitate to book this one. You won't be disapponted!

Such a gem…

This is a beautiful home, stocked with most everything you would need. You can really tell Mrs Mary & Mr Jim want you to be as comfortable as possible, down to the home made chocolate chip, pecan pie delivered with such a warm greeting from Mr Jim. My daughter and I enjoyed our conversations with him. I stayed in the master bedroom, and the bed slept like a dream. The fan made my nights sleep perfect. I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in Nashville.

Beautifully relaxing!

From the start of inquiry on rental property to our entire stay, the communication was prompt and the hosts were very accommodating. The pictures were great representation of home , however the hardwood floors were absolutely beautiful. Of all the homes we've stayed at , this was by far the most stocked and beautifully decorated . The pool was amazing. The view of lake was nice as well. Far enough from center of Nashville but close enough and easy quick drive to key locations. The homemade chocolate chip pecan pie on arrival was the icing on top and so delicious. Mary and Jim were the absolute best hosts. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone and we are certainly hoping to get back to stay there and visit the hosts as well.

What a wonderful home base for our girl's trip. We felt right at home and had everything we needed and MORE! Jim & Mary and their daughter out did themselves with treats, water, and a well-stocked frig & pantry. Jim's famous pie was waiting for us after a long day in Nashville. Delicious Jim!!! The view from the upstairs balcony of the lake was beautiful. We went to Franklin and Nashville many times and had no problem getting an Uber/Lyft to and from the house. If we ever visit Nashville again, we will surly stay here. Thanks for everything!!! The Texas girls!

A great experience overall

Mary and Jim are very kind, their thoughtfulness spills out of every cabinet and drawer in this extremely well appointed home. Jim brought us an incredible chocolate pecan pie to add to the generous groceries already provided! The house was larger than we expected, plenty of room to add a couple of air mattresses if needed. We spent a lot of time floating in the pool and made good use of the gas grill for lunches and chose to Uber downtown in the evenings. (Uber $30ish each way) Lake views are beautiful from upstairs balcony. The whole house was clean and comfortable and suited our families needs very well.

5 Star Stay in Nashville!!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Jim and Mary’s home! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that they take great pride in maintaining their property. The house was spotless—easily one of the cleanest vacation homes we've ever stayed in. Every room was immaculate, and it felt like we were the first guests to ever set foot in it! The home is about a 20-25 minute drive to broadway, which could be a deterrent for some, however we didn’t mind. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the pool. The water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature, making it incredibly refreshing to start the day off before heading out and exploring Nashville. We can’t forget to mention Jim’s homemade chocolate pecan pie. It was simply divine! Rich, flavorful, and the perfect balance of chocolate and pecan. We’re still dreaming about it! Jim and Mary are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable stay. We can’t recommend their home highly enough and can’t wait to return!
