It’s definitely clean, and staff is very friendly, but parts of the building is showing it age. The curtains in my room were torn, and the air/heat was so loud that I had to turn it off so I could hear over it. And my non smoking room smelled very much like cigarettes. Otherwise it was okay.

We arrived in a 3am from traveling , I had called to see if they had a room , to check in early as I was staying 3 more nights ( with reservation) they put me in room 168. Curtains were ripped , bloody women’s underwear under the bed frame, sconces were ripped from the wall, the vent in the bathroom was destroyed , right into the HVAC lines. The room looked like a ten year party was going on. They moved us the next morning to another room, smelled like cigarettes bad, moved us to another room , much better but there was a layer of dust , the hotel lady even said no way this room was cleaned to their satisfaction . This motel needs some serious cleaning . I was not expecting a 4 star but the first room was so bad that the “ manager” said the room should have been out of commission and they were doing me a favor since I arrived and checked in 12 hours earlier ( which I paid for ). They tried to put me in a King Room , I paid for two beds, I had to show them my Expedia reservation as it showed up in their system as a King one bed . It’s ashame this motel is an original but needs some serious work . The Bates motel would have been better with Norman and his mother . The third and last room was definitely a step up from the first two. Everyone was price gouging / booked due to a large cheer/ dance competition at the Gaylord or I would have left at 3am the night of arrival. The same hotel I stayed at a month before around the corner went from 150 a night to $482 a night.

The property looked nothing like the pictures! My room was dirty, had roaches, had holes in the bathroom door! I had no working deadbolt, or safety features and locks. The staff did not respect the do not disturb signs, never knocked and walked in on me every time I was there! The walls were dirty, sheets can almost guarantee not changed between guest!

Front desk staff was very helpful and responded quickly when there was a problem with the TV remote (I had only been in the room about 10 mins). He also noticed the room had a smoke smell and moved me to another room immediately.

Last minute stay. The check in was a little slow and the young man who checked us in made us pay even though expedia had already taken the payment. Expedia was able to refund us though so it worked out. Its an older hotel with some obvious work needed but the beds were super comfortable and we slept well.

As a solo female traveler, i did not feel safe here. They had the electrical key card door locks, but the manual metal security latch on the inside of the door was broken. When i went to the desk to ask if i could change rooms, the attendent was prepared to address the broke latch, having a sample of the electrical key card entry door system and showed me how the deadbolt worked to ensure safety. I stayed one night and then booked another place for the remainder of my stay.
