There were 6 of us who stayed at this location. It was a gorgeous home with a larger dining area in which we could all eat at one table. It was cleaned and well suited for our needs. We would highly recommend Heriyage House to anyone!
Absolutely beautiful home and property. Very old home that’s restored with modern amenities. Loved the grounds. Close to town yet isolated. Enjoyed the hot tub and star gazing.
Stayed here for IU graduation. We were so happy to be at such a wonderful property. Everything was perfect. So beautiful. Would go back and stay longer next time.
Wanted a quick, quiet getaway to celebrate our Anniversary. We loved the location and how peaceful it was. Close to everything we wanted to do (Nashville and hiking).
We had a wonderful stay at Heritage House amidst an unexpected snowstorm. It was so nice of Hills O’Brown to contact us and let us know that we should stock up on groceries and water! We made it through just fine and had a great time just spending time together!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
The house was decorated very nicely and in a quiet location. Just a few things we thought needed improvement. We were told by the management company that there would be only 1 roll of TP in each bathroom and a roll of paper towels in the kitchen. Also to bring dish soap, and laundry detergent. So I brought a lot of extra stuff only to find there was extra there. The refrigerator in the downstairs kitchen was a little dirty. Air conditioner didn't really do much upstairs so lbedrooms were warm. We enjoyed the hot tub, but there weren't really clear instructions for turning it on and we really think a handrail on the steps to get in and out would be really helpfull. Also we couldn't get the downstairs TV to work as it kept indicating we didn't have Internet. There was no Internet in the house.
We enjoyed our stay in Nashville and at the Heritage House even though the weather did not cooperate. The Heritage House has a great location that is at the end of a private street but very close to the state park and to all of the dining and shopping in Nashville.
Heritage House is an older farmhouse and is charming. A rather unusual floor plan with a two kitchens, upstairs and downstairs. The dishwasher is in the smaller kitchen upstairs, so we just washed dishes by hand downstairs. The bed was comfortable. The floors are creaky, but in a very pleasant way. Both showers are quite small and there is no tub, so that can make showering somewhat awkard if you want to shave your legs ;) Overall the house is cozy and comfortable and convenient. We didn't get to try the hot tub or do as much outdoors as we hoped due to the bad weather, so can't comment on that.
One thing that could definitely be changed for the better is the check-in process. The property really needs a lock box. Having to find the check-in location at night in the pouring rain was inconvenient particularly in light all other homes that I have stayed at have lock boxes with codes so you can access the property directly. I would change this to make it more convenient.
Oh and if in Nashville, try the pizza and beer at Quaff On! The pizza was very good and I am not a beer drinker, but the seasonal pumpkin beer was excellent :)
