The hotel is near a bus stop and a subway station that was central to most sites on our itinerary. "Basic ryokan situated in the heart of Kyoto, perfect location with lots around. However, the room was not the cleanest. We found a messy, unfolded duvet thrown in the closet and a few strands of hair in the bedding. "We booked in here on a short trip to Kyoto where we wanted an authentic local experience but didn’t have time to travel out into the rural regions. This was the perfect place. Our room was incredible and included two baths, a balcony and plenty of space. The staff are exceptionally friendly and fun. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese experience and we loved it.
