From an American perspective; I would choose this place over a hotel (ibis, best western, holiday inn) evwry time we come to Nairobi.
Being in the middle of town, i was concerned about safety and noise. The location is absolutely perfect. Close enough to walk to places, but far enough away from the traffic and the hustle. Besides a few doors closing, we heard nothing except birds. Seriously. Zero road noise. Zero night life (we were here on a Wednesday night and Thursday night). Uber was always less than 2 minutes away. Great restaurants and malls are a 200 shilling ride away. 360 Restaurant is a must (Pizza, chicken parm and fried mozzarella). Fogo de Gaucho also is close and really good (Brazillian style steak house).
The area is an older apartment complex, but it appears like its under new ownership and some of the buidings have been remodled. This apartment is in a newly renovated building and is very nice and very comfortable. The only downside is no A/C, fans, scrrens or nets. Every time we've been to Nairobi (Dec, June, Sept) it has been cool, so open windows was ok. We borrowed a fan from a friend.
Midnight check in and 4am check out is no problem.
Communication: It would help the guests tremendously to send an email after booking. We need info like;
1. Just type in "Prime Serviced Residence" on google maps. You will easily find us.
2. There is a sign at the gate "Prime Serviced Residence."
3. When you enter the
gate, walk down the hill to the office.
