"I knew I wanted to snowboard at Lotte Arai Resort but I read that it was in a very small town and basically only the resort buildings so i picked this spot because they offered a free shuttle to the nearby mountains. (Not Lotte though its a 40 minute drive and I had to get a separate bus. It was very easy though and the owner was able to help me figure it all out. "This place was perfect for traveling on a budget. The owners bent over backwards to accommodate all their guests. I will definitely come again. Be sure to get their breakfast in the morning!!! They may not be next door to an onsen, but their tub is a good second runner up for a tired person at the end of a long day of snow play."

"Overview: traditional Japanese hotel, tatami room, came with Japanese deserts and chopsticks and tea setup, also towels and yukatas were all clean. Tatami room where you need to make your own futon/bed. Pillows were also Japanese style, think full of small beads instead of feathers. So I advice to bring your own pillows.
