"Overall impressions of the hotel had the wow factor. The check in was straight forward, although the staff could have learned a smile! The room was really nice although no tea/coffee facilities. We were given 1 small carton of water. There was an event going on in the restaurant/bar area on the Thursday evening so we weren't able to go to the bar area, we were stopped by the front of house going through to buy water which was frustrating. "This is a campground and not a hotel. The kids (3 and 5) had fun in the little water park, but it was rundown and there was little there. It was not what is advertised. It is no frills and not like the pictures here. "

"Excellent, visited this hotel as in February 9th 1945 my grandfather was outside here with the the 61st Highland Anti Tank Regiment. Great history in the area and the hotel. We did have a little difficulty during dinner with language barrier mixing our main courses and part of our order was not given however we received excellent help for an English speaking waiter and the situtwas rectified."

"The quiet country setting was the perfect first night of our tour thru Europe. The historical of a former brickyard/ industrial site added charm and character. In March there were only a few guests. Our room was clean and comfortable. Shower floor was bathroom floor, but functioned well."
