「Reception kindly accommodated my late arrival. Room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. The recent interior room refurbishments give a clean, modern feel. Definitely good value for the price. The ‘grab and go’ breakfast was limited and the advertised discount access for a nearby gym is no longer available. Two minor negatives but I would definitely stay again.」

「The rooms are newly remodeled and comfortable with good lighting but what really impressed me was the customer service. I booked the room ahead and didn’t arrive until 1am, the clerk had my reservation handy already so I didn’t have to wait at all to get into my room. When loading to leave the clerk greeted me in the parking lot to chat and ensure I had a good stay. The family operating this establishment did amazing!」

「I really enjoy motels that are unique and non conventional. The masters is an older hotel but it is very apparent that the owners have taken great strides to keep the rooms clean, comfortable and updated. I loved the old wood paneling and the coziness of the space. 」

「Good toilet paper. Needs a Keurig. Great king bed. Excellent kitchen. Ice was stuck in fridge door couldn’t get it unstuck. Nice towels. Would like to stay again next year for the annual walleye run!」

「Overall this house was comfortable and very homey. There were a few issues with cleanliness (pots/pans in cupboards that had food stuck on them; very dirty/sticky potholders, game room floor had sticky spill, empty ramen noodle cup on the floor in one of the bedrooms). Not a deal breaker, but maybe more attention to detail is warranted. Would stay again if going to the Gorge with a large group, as it was affordable and a nice location on the lake. 」

「The pictures don’t do it justice, the place is beautiful & peaceful. Gorgeous view of the lake, it was relaxing. We’ll definitely stay here again in the future! 」
