"The duplex was very nice and beautiful. The river was just a short walk from the house. We did have a wonderful time. Negatives: No games upstairs as listed in listing. Whirlpool bath doesn't work as listed. No kitchen towels or dishcloths to wash dishes. No extra blankets or throw blankets in livingroom. Only one firepit outside so you must share with the other apartment in the duplex. It wouldn't take much to dig another firepit for"

"The home was comfortable and just what we needed for a quick little get away! They had lots of nice little things that made the cabin feel so much more homey and entertaining. There were several games, a well stocked kitchen (including a few snacks), and they even had everything needed for a fire (including wood!). It rained most of the time we were there, so no fire for us, but we loved that it was there if we wanted it. The floors needed a better sweeping and we needed to wipe down the counter...

"Our family gathered to celebrate a 50th birthday party. 6 adults and two boys (6 & 8) stayed at the property. We had 8 extended family members join us for the party. With that many folks it was easy to gather for a meal but with plenty of room so that it was not crowded. 4 star rating because of lack of towel and luggage racks. Kitchen was well stocked. Laundry room was very nice to have."

"We stay here everytime we come to the Morehead area. The hotel is a little older, but it is always very clean, and the mattresses and pillows are so comfortable. "The room was seriously lacking in many things we take for granted: no coffee pot, no facial tissues, electric lamps did not work, furniture was old and shabby . . . just not up to a 5 star experience in any way except the staff. Those I met seemed genuinely concerned, but unable to make any real changes. Housecleaning staff needs to be fired and new ones hired . . . which I understand for all service industries today . . . that is a real challenge."
