"We recently stayed at May Cottage and it was just what we needed. The cottage is lovely and much bigger than we anticipated, especially the bedrooms - they’re a really big! Kitchen has everything you need and even though we had taken hand wash and washing up liquid etc, it was all provided. Even dishwasher tablets! We thought we were going to be in the village based on the walking distances stated on the listing however nothing was in walking distance. "From the outside, a very traditional old building with a close, high on a hilly road with a bunch of steps. Indoors beautifully modernized, very spacious rooms, all mod cons, including washer dryer. Well worth the climb, and views of the town and surrounding hills spectacular. I only regret we stayed but one night."

"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."
