Location, setting, docks, and decks were beautiful, and the home is nicely cared for given its age. For anyone partly enticed by the nightly rate, though, we would just caution that after all associated fees, the total cost for the weekend was three times more than the nightly rate, and the quality of the experience for what amounted to just 36 hours just didn't feel commensurate to that cost. Renters should also be aware that some of the kinds of nearby amenities (nearby tennis court, boat slips, etc) that help make a lake vacation inviting are actually off-limits for guests renting this home. The third bedroom is in a finished basement, which again is in very good condition for its age, but it is maybe 30-40 years old and does have a bit of a damp, dark basement kind of feel. The section of lake that the home backs up to, though, is quiet and beautiful, and if you have a couple of fit, able-bodied people in your party who could carry kayaks, paddle boards, or canoes down the 100 + steps, it's a great place to launch from. Spending a full week there rather than just a weekend is probably the better way to get your money's worth.
