"My family and I had a great stay! We had a wonderful thanksgiving lunch with family and friends. The space to preparing for the meal to cooking to enjoying our meal was more than enough room for all 18 of us. The games and area for kids to play was great. The hot tub was a big hit as well. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone! We are already discussing a stay in the summer as well! "

"I am a bit loss for words to describe our recent stay at Maddie’s cottage. We have had a hectic year and needed a place to get away and reconnect again. From my first encounter with Maddie her caring and genuine warmth was evident. She went the extra mile to help us feel at home at her lovely retreat. "It's a rare treat to be on acres of land and open space such that surrounds this home. More than anything, the house has a peaceful, welcoming feel. Not too fancy schmancy, but not run down. It was very clean, which is often a wild card with short rentals. I enjoyed the unimpeded views of the Sangre de Cristos as well as the range on the other side of the valley. "The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family.
