“This historic home was a wonderful place to stay with its close proximity to our business event downtown. The home is updated to meet all modern needs. The grounds were meticulously maintained. “My children, grandchildren , great-grandson and I gather each year to celebrate Christmas. We can’t all make it on Christmas Day because of work schedules plus they live in DC, FL, TN, & MS and I live in TX. This was our first stay at Spitfire Acres. The location was lovely even though it was near the heart of Southhaven & 25 minutes from downtown Memphis. The house was beautifully decorated , clean and offered everything we desired. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“Don’t let the surrounding area fool you, the Horseshoe itself is a great hotel and property. Stayed here to weather out a storm during a business road trip hauling equipment and got a last-minute King room at a great price. Will stay here again. Starbucks onsite, and a Guy Fieri restaurant. I don’t have a clear answer as to whether the buffet is still open or not.”
