I sent a review directly to Wyndam Resort Quest, a day or two after we returned from vacation, but I have yet to hear back from them. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.
I was immediately taken aback by the scuffed walls and peeling paint on the door jambs, but when we started killing roaches, that tipped the scales towards disgust.
We found hair in the bath towels and when we pulled the trundle bed out and the sheets back that night to go to bed, it was clear that the sheets had not been changed because the bed was full of crumbs and grass!
There were dirty dishes in the cabinets and the kitchen décor was covered in grime and dust. The dust was also an issue throughout the home.
To top it off, when my daughter-in-law went to bathe my 7 mo old granddaughter later that evening, the shower door came off the hinges and almost fell on her!
We went to the office the following morning and discussed the issues w/the Wyndham rep and were told that the issues would be addressed immediately and that at the very least our cleaning fee would be refunded; this has not been received to date.
I waited two additional days before I went back down to find out why they had not changed the shower door or sprayed for roaches (by then we had killed no less than a dozen).
They came and sprayed later that day, but we were told that they were waiting on approval from the owner to fix the shower door, the shower door that almost landed on my 7 mo old granddaughter! They ended up removing the doors and replacing them w/a shower rod/curtain w/in an hour or so.
So, to sum this up, the only reason I gave you 2 stars was because my family was together and we enjoyed our company.
None of our families will stay in a Wyndham Resort Property again and will think twice about any properties we find on HomeAway as well.
