「The mansion is beautiful, if somewhat bedraggled. It needs some maintenance. Our Tv didn't work, the coffee maker was very tempermental, and the heater didn't work the night before that was freezing. My husband had to unplug it overnight to get it to reset in the morning. 」

「Great getaway and beautiful river venue - good consideration for large gatherings close to DFW; Friendly and knowledgeable staff; however, we stayed on a Tuesday night and staff left at 5 so no access to recreation cabin, ice, lodge until next morning. Close enough to Mineral Wells to get dinner and drinks at the few places that were open on a Tuesday evening. Fishing dock was pleasant and strolling the grounds a unique experience. Bed just okay. Room and BR extremely clean and quiet. No need...

「Home was cozy and had everything you could need. The views were beautiful and animals are friendly. The kids didn’t even miss their electronics! It was an amazing getaway for the family. One warning though don't try to walk barefoot on the grass you will get grass stickers! My husband found that out the hard way. 」

「We absolutely loved our stay at Vick Hacienda! It truly was a little slice of paradise for our weekend staycation. Sara and Scott are excellent hosts, and provided the most delicious sourdough and cinnamon butter as a welcome gift. So thoughtful! 」
