Beautiful 1850's home on the National Register of Historic Places in Milton's Historical District. The original front doors open into the beautiful foyer showcasing the main staircase. A large formal living room with a beautiful soapstone mantle and Thomas Day niches & trim. A large dining room that can comfortably host up to 10 with an original Thomas Day fireplace mantle and surround. A spacious modern kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. There is a cozy den with a smart TV, also on the main floor. Upstairs features three large bedrooms each with their own bathroom and smart TV. The house sleeps 10 guests. The original detached kitchen is still on site (to be renovated). Virginia International Raceway is just 2.6 miles down the road. Walk across the street to the Milton 66 Beer Garden enjoy craft beer, live music and food trucks. Visit Famous Millies Pizza, Milltown Eatery & Saloon, Chef OB's, Samantha's Grill and All in the Family restaurant. The Thomas Day Museum (NC's newest designated Historic Site) is 1 house down from our front door. Walk the new Milton Greenway and explore the shops on Broad Street. Our back yard has over 3 acres of open outdoor space with a walking path, small creek, fire pit, seating area and gently rolling lawn. Hyco Lake is 8 miles away, Dan River Wildlife Access is 1 mile away. The Danville Casino and Riverwalk district is 15 miles away. The driveway is paved with space for 3/4 mid-sized SUV's or cars.
