Beautiful property for a family getaway.
Although close to a main thoroughfare, which did not effect us at all. It was quiet, clean and a very nice sized property to enjoy, including a lake and pond for fishing with boats to utilize on the lake. It has a nice deck overlooking the lake to enjoy with friends and family. There's a grill, outdoor games, and is an all around nice place to gather. I will be looking into this property again for future family get togethers.

Loved staying here! The pond out front was amazing. A little piece of heaven for me. Walk up fishing, then fishing before bed! Deer in the front yard and the house was awesome! Master bedroom was amazing! Will stay here again next time we are in the area!

The property was nice although from the listing we didn't know it was situated on a main road. Owner was prompt with correspondence. My only suggestion would be better maintenance on the grills or at least cleaning brushes for them.

Beautiful property
We took our family for the weekend for my daughter's birthday and this property was beautiful! The pictures doesn't do it justice. When we pulled up there was a deer eating in the front yard. We spent most of our time on the huge back deck and paddle boat. The inside was so clean and nice. Plenty of blankets and pillows. My husband loved the grills. Thank you for the use of your beautiful house!

Great quiet location with beautiful view
Very comfortable and clean. The outside needs a little TLC but overall very nice. Had trouble finding the property as there was no number on the house or name of the actual road that it's on, after driving around for about 45 minutes called Ashley and she gave us step by step directions. Thanks Ashely!

Fall Stay at the Cottage
We had a very enjoyable fall vacation at the cottage. The highlight feature was a large deck overlooking a picturesque lake scene. The cottage was clean and quite comfortable with excellent WIFI and TV provided. There were a few items that could do with some refurbishing, for example blinds and kitchen appliances. Seniors should be aware that there are a significant number of stairs since the master bedroom is on the first level and the living area is on the second.

Ashley attempted to be accommodating with a couple of issues that arose. We never did have wifi. That's okay because we were really there to fish. There weren't any fish either. Way overpriced for what we got. The pond and lake are cute.

Convenient, but not quiet.
I stayed here with my two sons and our two small dogs in the fall. We enjoyed catching some bream and making use of the kayak and canoe. The scenery off the back was gorgeous. Beautiful fall colors! We appreciate places who accept pets! The cabin was nice. It definitely got chilly in the downstairs bedroom, but we used the heater that was provided and slept just fine. I will say that if you’re looking for a place that offers peace and quiet while sitting outside and enjoying your coffee, this isn’t the place. It’s located right off the main HWY. Traffic noise was awful. However, this location is ideal if you don’t want to be too secluded from town and all of it’s conveniences. It’s close to Pisgah National Forest which we thoroughly enjoyed! Ashley was very quick to respond to any messages I sent! Thank you for a nice (short, but sweet) weekend get-away from Summerville, SC.

DON'T RENT THIS PROPERTY!
I'm sorry to give a bad review of this property. This was supposed.to be a fun family celebration that got off to a poor start. First, the cabin had not been cleaned when we arrived. It was in a ghastly state. When I contacted the owner, be expressed surprise at the fact that we had arrived, despite the fact that we had already paid for the entire stay, with a receipt to prove it. So we had to wait around for 2 hours, with my kids with spouses due to arrive from two different locations! Needless to say this derailed our plans for a pleasant reunion considerably. As far as the cabin, once it was eventually cleaned--quite haphazardly, I might add--it left MUCH to be desired. Half the appliances didn't work properly, some light bulbs were burned out, there was NO toilet paper left, not enough linen left out for the number of people in our party (6), there was trash leff under beds, and we felt compelled to wash all the linens before using the beds, because everything just looked dirty and dingy, and the level of trust had gone down considerably by then; there was poor maintenance in general. There were stains on the walls and ceilings, the doors didn't shut properly, etc. The property was not accurately represented in the description or photos. The living space was cramped, there was no place to dine, and not enough chairs cfor 6 adults to sit comfortably to a meal, or just to visit. The photos didn't do justice to the dinginess of the house in general. The only facility that looked "decent" was the downstairs bathroom, which was spacious & new. The owner promised to give us a "discount" for our discomfort upon arrival, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll be surprised if it materializes. In closing, I have only one thing to say: DON'T RENT THIS PROPERTY!

Fun trip with family and friends
Great place. It was relaxing and quiet. Cottage was nice and very peaceful. It's perfect for our stay and located in a great spot. Asheville downtown is about 30 min away from the cottage. Beautiful pond, kids enjoyed fishing and boat ride. Ashley is very kind and helpful. We had a great experience and enjoyed the trip.
