This is a simple rustic type place, nothing fancy, but like I said: clean, spacious, good kitchen, beds were comfy, hot water for showers. View off the deck was beautiful. "Six of us booked this house for two nights, climbing Mount Katahdin the morning after our first night. The house was great, plenty of beds and showers, and close to the park. The dishwasher was key for our larger group and fueling up. The only caution I have is if you or someone in your party is sensitive to mold or musty smells, you may want to avoid the upstairs suite and the basement. "

The only negative, if you want to call it that, is that it’s 2 miles in on a dirt road, not great if you want to go back and forth often, but wonderful for peace and quiet. "We had such a great time and comfortable stay. The house worked out great for the 8 of us and we could have easily had a few more stay with us. There were 3 rollout beds and a couch we didn't even use for sleeping. The lake and views are gorgeous, the kitchen and pantry was well-equipped, ample parking, so peaceful. Great proximity to BS, to town and a nearby gen store. Communication with April was excellent as well. We loved not having to strip beds or clean or anything -- we always wonder why...
