"We made a last minute decision to visit RI. My usual places (chain hotels) did not allow pets or had an additional $50 per night! Red Roof Inn allows one pet at no additional cost. I was worried about the place being messy since some pet owners are not responsible. The place was very clean, and I think we were the only pet owners. The lobby was CLEAN. One of the days, it rained, and I felt bad taking our dog in and out since she would make paw prints on the floor. Those paw prints were gone when I came down again. It seemed like someone with OCD was obsessively cleaning the lobby area, and I say this in a good way. Other areas were clean (enough) but the place seemed worn out. If you travel with kids, it has McDonald, KFC, Dominos, and Stop and Shop (to buy milk etc.) within a walking distance, and we used a full use of them. For the price, it was a great deal. If we visit RI again, we will stay here again for sure. "

"We had the best family vacation! This hotel is in a great location as it’s across the street from the beach, walking distance to a delicious ice cream shop (Clementine’s) and a few restaurants and right near an entrance to the Cliff Walk. We drove to town for the shops, more restaurants, the aquarium and the sailing museum, but it’s a quick drive with ample parking (especially in the off season). We also ventured to the Newport Vineyards, a delicious spot for drinks and food and only 7 minutes from this hotel. We checked out the hotel pool which was nice as it was a cold and rainy day. Thanks for a great stay!"
