"Nothing comes closer to perfect than Jen's place."

Forest Suite is located just a few minutes south from the village of Mendocino on 5 acres of beautiful redwoods.This 560 sq. ft. apartment plus 200sq ft deck, is upstairs from my 2,000 sq. ft artist’s studio, which is not in use when guests are staying. Built entirely with redwood, recycled fir and barn wood with cement counters and shower this romantic getaway is a very special spot.

The south wall is all windows with a deck overlooking the surrounding trees. It’s very peaceful and sunny and is frequented by honeymooners, artists, writers and those seeking total privacy. A few books and screenplays have been written here! There is an eclectic book and DVD library to enjoy. Take a walk through the forest; you will see a trail sign by the driveway which will take you through the property and out onto Gordon Lane for a longer walk. There is a bench along the trail and also a deck in the trees for yoga or meditation, or just relax and enjoy the tranquility. Thank you and enjoy your stay!!

It’s a magical place, starry skies, great location, eclectic vibe and the accommodations provide everything you want and need and things u didn’t know you’d want or need! This is the most peaceful get away to reconnect and enjoy the beautiful Mendocino coastline. The Forest Suite has everything you will need for a relaxing time. Jen is an amazing host and has provided a special suite that has all the comforts for your stay. It’s our top pick!

Time in the redwoods
We capped off our road trip to travel the length of the Pacific Coast Highway by staying at the Forest Suite by Mendocino for 4 nights. We loved the trail through the redwoods and the incredible loft suite, and also loved the Mendocino community. Forest Suite is so comfy and private and we even made 2 meals while there. Thanks Jen!

If you like total privacy, a charming space, great light, and easy access to the wonderful town of Mendocino, this place is for you. Sitting on the deck in the sun while watching the trees sway in the breeze is our idea of heaven. We've stayed here three times and can't wait to go back!

My stay at the forest suite was exactly what I needed. The location was perfect inside and out. Tucked far enough away to feel like you are in your own little forest while being close to Mendocino and all it's beauty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to relax and escape to this whimsical locale.

Always beautiful to stay here. This time, the TV/Netflix wasn’t working at first, but when we notified Jen, she got back to us as soon as she possibly could (she was out of the country) to help us troubleshoot and ultimately fix the problem.
