Relaxing & updated waterfront home ON the Fox River, peaceful countryside setting! Home has an oversized deck, patio, firepit & pier. Updated , 4 beds split between 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath. Great for a weekend or an extended getaway. Updated kitchen, bathroom, flooring, roof, HVAC. Fenced in front yard is pet friendly. Washer & Dryer in the basement. The deck in back as great views of the river. Patio & firepit with chairs. 9-10 minute drive from downtown McHenry where you'll have shops, restaurants, Walgreens!

Great location

Needed a place to stay for a hockey tournament and had our dogs with us. Fenced in yard was very convenient for the dogs and the riverfront location was lovely and relaxing. The house had a really nice open concept and deck.

This property is a gem! It is completely new on the inside and it has all the best amenities. It’s as cute as can be and fully stocked with everything you need for a perfect stay. The owner is a fantastic communicator and so helpful. Do not pass up this Fox River paradise!!

Perfection Plus

This property was perfect in every way. Not only was it super clean and very updated, it was cozy and bright and just exactly what the doctor ordered. The owner is a top notch host and left nothing to chance. His communication was prompt and informative and so very helpful. I just cannot recommend this property enough. It is tranquil and the location on the river could not have been more picturesque. DON'T miss this place. It is a gem!!! Thank you so much for letting me use you place. I will definitely be back!

Nice place!

This house is lovely and would be an awesome summer retreat destination. Unfortunately we stayed in the winter, but that's no fault of theirs! There is a pretty view out the living area to see the river & trees on the other side. The fenced in front yard is great for the dogs to take care of business without having to walk them. The houses along side of this one appear to be similar in size but not updated. Inside you have the things you need. We struggled to find dishtowels but then located them in one of the closets. There are plenty of dishes and glasses, cooking tools & the like. We appreciated the bottled water & incidental kitchen items the owner provided. The house was very clean & we felt safe there. All of the beds are VERY firm memory foam which made for a terrible night's sleep for us. We ended up buying a softer memory foam topper to cushion the bed & it helped. Fortunately we needed one at home so the purchase wasn't for naught. I did let the owner know my frustration when I did a load of laundry & discovered the hot & cold faucets were backwards & I basically boiled my clothes. Never in a million years would I think the washer hook ups might be backwards...this is a lesson I won't forget the next time I rent a VRBO. It's a nice house but we probably won't stay again because of the beds, hence the 4 star rating. If you like a really hard bed then you'll be fine!

Awesome place!!

Very spacious on the inside & nicely decorated. The outside has lots of room too. We enjoyed having a fire at night. It was fun just sitting on the deck watching the boats go by. We would most definitely stay here again!

Quiet solitude

Unable to open lockbox on arrival for access to key, but property manager responded quickly and helped me locate another key. The house was everything advertised. One of my reasons for staying here was to see meteor shower at night, but neighbors lighting on their property was a hindrance. Will probably stay again when want to get away from city.

Awesome Riverfront home on the Fox River!

We enjoyed our stay at this awesome Riverfront home on the Fox River. Loved the firepit area next to the river, weather was perfect for sitting around the fire watching the boats go by. Home was stocked with everything we needed and not to far from town. Great communication from owners, would rent again if in the area again. Thank You!!

Perfect riverside cottage

My family and I were in town for a wedding. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated with all the necessary amenities. The host was super personable, accommodating, and quick to respond. We really enjoyed the property and used the fire pit the first evening we were there, watching the boats pass by. Highly recommend!
