"Tapada da Beirã was a charming villa, it had everything we could have wished for, the hosts were lovely and were on hand with advice and knowledge of the area. Plenty of outdoor spaces to relax or eat al fresco and a super swimming pool. You need a car to get around, the nearest shop is in Santo António das Areias. About 20 steps from the Villa is a lovely restaurant and the food was amazing as were the staff."

"Rustic setting just a 5 minute drive to the hilltop walled town and castle of Marvao. Wonderful view of sunsets."

"Wir waren Ende Februar hier; da konnte es nachts recht kühl werden. Schön, dass es einen Kaminofen mit kostenlosem Heizholz gab und die Klimaanlage im Notfall auch heizte. Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein eigenes Bad - man kann für größere Gruppen auch Wohnungen verbinden. Unsere Wohnung ("Landhaus") hatte eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit vorgelagerter, überdachter Veranda, von der man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Garten und die Umgebung bis zur Burg von Marvao hatte. Sehr angenehm war auch...

"What a sweet stay we had at Antonio’s flat in Beira! The apartment has everything you need and is fully modernized. From the remarkable countryside near the town, to the flat’s lovely terrace, and of course the dynamite liqueur made by his father which he shared with us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "Nous avons aimé, la maison est bien situé et intime en même temps. Très belle propriété de campagne, belle vue du château. Nous avons été bien reçu par Louisa et Joao. Ils nous on guidé pour les activités local. Merci beaucoup pour ce beau séjour."

"So much was excellent. The value for money is spot on and even though the restaurant is pricey for Portugal, it's still very good value. Breakfast was far more than we'd expected, especially after some poor offerings elsewhere. Fresh cake, cereal, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, tea, coffee, yoghurt, fruit, juice, etc. Only suggestion to Sever would be to tidy it up a bit in places - outside litter pick, replace odd bits of tatty furniture (our bed frame and one shelf), strengthen the WiFi...

"Stunning location and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Had some problems finding it as signs to Pousada were poor, and no directions available. Parking is limited at hotel, although there is sufficient within walking distance. Steep slopes and steps to hotel itself, with no vehicle access, so you will need to carry your luggage some distance, although staff were happy to help. Once in the hotel however, the rooms, restaurant and support were excellent. Well worth a visit for the view alone."
