Isolated

Beaufort, Atlantic Beach and Morehead are about 20 - 30 minutes away. The lower apartment was comfortable but, we didn't realize that there was a family renting above us. They were very noisy or the walls are very thin. They also had 2 large dogs that obviously did not like other people outside of their owners and one of the dogs jumped the make-shift barrier and charged at my husband and I. When the family would leave the dogs would run all through the house barking and wining.

Beautiful views

June, the property manager, was awesome! I think if we’d have brought mosquito spray and mucking boots due to heavy moisture in the area, it would have been perfect. Nice quiet spot for my husband and I and tons to do in the area.

Relaxation at its best

Property was clean and as described. Communication was excellent. Had a very nice, relaxing vacation. Waking up to the quiet neighborhood and able to walk out to the deck and watch the water was heaven. Thank you, we will be back.

Overwhelmed By The Mold

The place is infested with mold. We didn’t even stay the first night. The apartment was infested with small biting flies too. The photos in the listing are accurate. The kitchen and bath were well appointed with everything you’d ever need. We were told to turn off one of the portable air conditioners if we needed to use a hair drier or blender because the circuit would short out. The portable air conditioners were very, very loud. The property manager/owner was very nice.

Tranquil and peaceful

We were very pleased with this rental. June Robinson was very helpful in answering any of our questions whenever we called. The listing was accurate regarding location and layout. The property was clean and well maintained. We would recommend this property to a friend or relative that just wants to be away from it all. Harker's Island, historic Beaufort, Shacleford Banks, and Cape Lookout are always a must visits!

Wonderful dock & location exceeded expectations

If you love water, you will love this dock overhanging the Pamlico Sound. We ended every evening there with ocean breezes. The apartment was very large, clean and well appointed with cooking supplies and even toiletries. The manager was very prompt in answering questions. Room For improvement: one full size bed although the bedroom could easily accommodate a king-size, no thermostat control in the apartment and it got warm, (we asked the vacationers upstairs in the rented home to lower the thermostat at their departure). couches need replacing as one average size human sinks low.

Go for the view.

The contact person is helpful and kind. The apartment was very clean. No corner left uncared for. Exceptional clean for a rental. The view from the rear deck is beautiful. Although parts of our trip was stormy we did manage to walk to the end of the pier and enjoy the calm of the waves lapping the shore. The living and dinning room area is large and well equipped. The downside to the unit was the size of the bed. Very cozy full size was a difficult sleep if you’re use to a king. There is another unit upstairs, although our neighbors were very friendly and took great care to share the common area of the deck and pier expect that typical sounds of apartment living. I’m sure they were not roller skating at midnight even though for a second I thought they had to be. The yard was marsh like and damp but I didn’t find that to be an issue. Overall we had a very nice stay. We enjoyed a few meals prepared in the well appointed kitchen , some tv during the rain and the views once it cleared from the storm. There were several birds feeding nearby and their songs could be heard clearly. Very wildlife friendly setting. Awesome view and it was a comfortable stay

We loved the Marshallberg apt!

The Marshallberg apt was perfect! It definitely exceeded our expectations & had everything we needed. We loved the dock that was on the property, and enjoyed it we early morning coffee and evening cocktails. It was great to drop the kayaks in the water off the dock and paddle to close by islands! The house was so cozy, comfortable, and close to local beaches and stores. Joan Robinson definitely made us feel at home, and was extremely helpful and kind. She was quick to respond to any questions we had & she made our vacation all the more better. We can’t wait to come back for another stay!!

A beautiful historic home with outstanding views!

We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely home! The sunsets were nice, and my kids flew a big kite most days (from the neighbors yard actually because the rental property was too wet). Our only disappointment was not being able to dock our boat, it was too shallow and the boat spot needs to be dug out

Family vacation

We book this lovely home for a family vacation to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday and had a lovely stay. June was very responsive and helpful with all our questions. We had hoped to utilize the kayaks but the weather wasn't really well suited so we enjoyed bike rides instead. We had multiple families in the house and never felt crowed, this is a spacious, lovely, comfortable home.
