We have stayed here several times before, and once again — despite the renovation — we found super friendly staff; a clean, comfortable room; and a very cool ambience. When this hotel is finished with its updates, it will be a dazzler. We’ll always stay here when passing through Cortez. "

We had recently stayed at the El Tovar, which was terrific, but we put the Strater beside it. I think the Strater is better maintained with nicer amenities. "
