"When traveling in this area you don’t have many options, either this place, or the hotels in the Mt. Cook village. The location is amazing and an easy walk to the lake for sunset or sunrise. We stayed for 1 night and it was OK. The room was full of flies, the front desk said they don’t bite, which probably is true, but still, the flies were everywhere. "Our second time staying here on our NZ trip and just as enjoyable as the first. Lovely jig, older style hotel with plenty of room. Nice breakout areas to have a read, look at the sights or have a quiet drink. Room was spacious, very comfortable and breakfast buffet included in accommodation. Good Al a carte menu or buffet for dinner. Another great place to stay and extremely friendly and helpful staff. "

"Very nice hostel in a wonderful location. Everything in Mount Cook Villaga is walking distance... no need for a vehicle when there. Property is very well kept and staff are present for most of the day. Everything you could need at your finger tips."
