"Amazing hotel with excellent food, drinks and views. Had a room with the hot tub on the terrace and I was using this a lot during my two day stay. One word of caution if you come by train and with luggage: the slopes are very steep so I suggest to use a taxi which will set you back around 1250 JPY."

"Disappointing. We arrived late at night, and no one was at the reception. Despite trying to call, we received no answer. After waiting 20 minutes, the concierge finally appeared but didn't bother checking our travel documents. The physical key provided was difficult to use, and the lack of English or French speakers made it impossible to seek information. We felt lost and decided to check out early. It was NOT a pleasant experience, definitely NOT. 😔"

"The 4th floor ocean view was amazing. The room is very modern and extremely comfortable. Twin beds were firm but not too hard. They can be pushed together. The mountain view also was unforgettable. The private onsen was so nice to have (I suggest extending the curtain for full surround privacy). Breakfast buffet was fabulous and 1hr was not enough time to eat all the delicious foods (one hour is all we get so dig in!)"

"Hotel was very nice however if your an American or western at all I wouldn’t stay here, none of the rooms had showers and we had many traditional ryokans on our visit to Japan that did, also all night were sirens for the Tsunami right outside our window. Restaurant was pretty decent but overall compared to the price and the dirtiest city we found in Japan it’s definitely a no way ever again in our books, that’s from a very well traveled outlook. "
