Lovely cabin, well equipped and pleasant for a short escape!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, enjoyed the area and took a nine hike down Irina’s track. Perfect getaway for peace and quiet in nature. Claudine was very welcoming!

Great away from it all log cabin up in the mountain,cluster flies a bit of a minor issue so make sure to keep door closed other than that it’s a gorgeous little escape.

We were not there long enough to experience the space fully. But I think from what I saw its a great space with an awesome little fireplace. The space was a bit dirty on arrival with ashes in the fire place. But all and all not to bad

First stay log cabin
This was our first stay at the log cabin at Lyford and we found this to be very comfortable and welcoming. The location was very quiet and peaceful. Very tidy and had all the amenities, great fire place which kept the place warm throughout. Would recommend this as a place for a quiet getaway with only a short drive from Christchurch.

Perfect time away. Wish it could have been longer. Close to the road, which was ok, but would have preferred no road noise. The toilet up stairs keeps running if you don't pull the flush button up. Shame check out can't be 10am as felt a little rushed to leave. BUT all in all loved it. Clean and very lovely place. Will hopefully stay again.

Lovely place shame about the cluster flies
The log cabin was tidy and well equipped. The fire was lovely, bed comfy and plenty of space. We were told about the cluster fly problem on arrival and needed to vacuum several times during our stay as the flies were in abundance. Although not your usual flies this did detract from the enjoyment of our stay
