"I wasn't so happy with the property. Our first night was horrible. The room became so cold at around 3 or 4am. I was shivering but the warmer is set to 21' but they could have turn of the heating..second is that there was no sufficient towels. Normally if you enter a hotel or aparthotel you get the towels for the number of days you are staying i,e 4 days, then 4 towels for every person. Next the soap, shampoo or lotion. Everyone was delighted with the beautiful and spacious home, the property and the location. We were able to travel to many wonderful places nearby and a little bit further out in France. "Very strange "kitchen" with a stove put on top of what was a bar and is extremely high. No extraction hood so its mpossible to cook. Bathroom without window or extraction fan. Constant noise right outside the door. The ad says the owner speaks French and English but they don't speak a word of English. We did not see the super well equipped place mentioned in other reviews. We do not recommend this place."

"A small but reasonably comfortable chalet in a beautiful location with a view of the lake. Nice place to enjoy the onsite facilities and visit the area. Downsides. There was no oven in the kitchen which was frustrating, just a very small microwave without oven feature. "A quiet setting in a single storey rear annexe. The open-plan living/djning/kitchen area was spacious and well equipped. We appreciated Claudie’s friendly welcome and the provision of juice, coffee, tea and store cupboard items. Heating was available as was plenty of hot water, and the beds were comfortable. Wi-fi was mostly good. We would stay again. Thank you Claudie."

"Family break for a week - five adults and a four years old child. The accomodation is really well set up - en-suite bathrooms in all bedrooms, a good kitchen and secure garden. Hostess was there to greet us. Being August, the town was really quiet, so I would say a car is essential. Supermarkets available around 4km away. I would thoroughly recommend the property."

"We had a very pleasant stay in Blandine’s well appointed gite. She welcomed us warmly, with a guided tour, information pack relating to accommodation, maps and guides for local walks and points of interest. She was nearby in case of queries, too. Guise is a small town, and can be reached on foot, for supermarket, bakery, cafes etc. There are many lovely walks nearby and wide country views."

My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...
