The cottage had everything I need (especially air conditioning as I’m not used to the scorching California sun). The pool was definitely an added bonus. "I booked this place for my elderly father to stay while visiting us. Too many steps, everything was a trip hazard for him, the most uncomfortable bed and the noise was ridiculous so he got no sleep ! The cherry on top was the smoke from the people in the main house , it was coming through to his room. "
