Being a retired travel agent, traveling 6 months of year to warmer locations south, I was relieved to find this home comfortable and well appointed. We book anywhere from 10-12 rentals over winter holiday south very year, thus I feel I have a good range of experiences to warrant a 5 star review. The home was better than expected regarding kitchen supplies, comfy mattresses, bedding, furniture…all of which seem new. Location was 1/2 mile drive to beach access, but lots parking at least in winter. Weather in March can be bad (I’m an Oregonian, and spent much of childhood at coast), but we had pretty decent weather for week in March. Parking can be tight if you have big truck, as another reviewer mentioned, but we just parked in back house with no problem as we never had more than 2 cars. The hot and cold water at front door perfect for washing dogs feet before coming into home. Didn’t use bbq. Being a gourmet cook, having high end kitchen baking supplies, spices was a relief as generally bring my own. (You should bring plastic wrap, tin foil, plastic containers limited). Kitchen well organized with labels so thanks for that! Vacasa dropped off a mop as I like keeping rentals clean. We didn’t use hot tub at all.
A few suggestions for owners/management company if their so inclined: better weighted shower curtain so doesn’t come out of shower. more pots for cooking. More laundry pods…I always wash couple loads for maids…but couldn’t do that as ran out. Cushions for dining table chairs, placemats would make more comfortable. I’d put a piece of glass on nice wood dining table to preserve wood….but then that’s just me. These are just suggestions but didn’t deflect from overall enjoyment.
Speaking of longer stays, was disappointed we couldn’t reach Vacasa management vacations to extend our stay by 2-3 days which was available online. I tried for 2 days emailing, texting, calling only to be put on hold, and disconnected. Finally after packing car day before as checkout time is 10 am….vacasa called night before to apologize and say could extend stay. But we already had reservations elsewhere, and spent hours packing car. We would have loved to extend our stay , and quite frustrated vacasa didn’t get back to us in a timely fashion. I received an apology email from vacasa this morning regarding their delay, stating ‘’’covid19 and ‘the weather’’’’ was reason for delayed response? Funny, that’s not a valid excuse in my opinion.
