I’m giving this property a poor-good review for many reasons. First of all the photos on the booking site are not accurate. When we arrived I noticed garbage around the left side of the house which is noticeable once you arrive. An old table, plastic bin full of spider webs multiple larger sticks and kindling for the fire pit. Overall not picked up or tidy. Didn’t need to be perfect but just tidied up would have been appreciated. When you enter the house it’s a closed off entry way that smelled of old musty mothballs, cat urine type smell. That’s the best way for me to describe it. There were boogie boards and some things for dogs, I thought that was nice and sand toys for kiddos. We came into the house and it smelled the same. Looking around the flooring was overall good, but the carpet in the living room had a couple large stains and the couches were gross. Stains on both couches and the throw pillows, we used the beach towels provided to cover them. The comforters on the beds were older and looked dirty to me, they didn’t smell clean to me soI washed them before we went to bed. I’m not a clean freak by any means but I feel when staying at a vacation home that the standards should be higher. The sheets were fine. The stove is newer but very small, a normal sized baking sheet doesn’t fit in the oven! Dishes and cookware provided were great, griddle for pancakes multiple sized pans, etc….and lastly the deck….it’s actually nicely updated, trex material and nicer gas grill, the description on the site says there a partial view of the ocean….if you’re standing on the roof you can see the ocean, you can hear it but not see it!
We had a great time in Lincoln city and depot bay but I would not recommend staying here.
I recommend updating photos and cleaning up the outside, also recovering the couches.
Multiple candles and febreeze masked the smell somewhat but something needs to be done to rid the smell.
