First stay
Let me start with the positives, the interior of the house was neat and tidy. Hosts were very nice and communication was good. Very close to Walnut Mountain Park. The negatives - I would not consider the property “rural” or a private setting. It’s on the corner of the main road and very close to a very rundown area. The yard was over grown (weeds coming through the stairs down to pond, garden beds full of weeds, and the driveway had grass growing through the cracks). As I mentioned the area is very rundown. My wife and I were not really comfortable here. There weren’t any hand towels in the bathrooms (just bath towels) and no ice trays. Any activities were a ride. The pond is just a feature but not useable for any activities. With fees, taxes, cleaning etc. our stay was $400 per night. For that amount of money you would have expected a better location and property with amenities.
Stayed 5 nights in Aug 2024
