"After our pervious week in 2022, we were delighted to return to Eileen's rental house. We were warmly welcomed, and then left to settle in. We appreciated Eileen contacting her "fish man" who came by and we purchased fresh scallops, hake and a fish new to us. We enjoyed the remoteness and the comfort of the house, settling in the big chairs to read and watch the changing views of the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return."

We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! "We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Debbie's amazing house, there isn't a single thing to fault! The location is fab, the view of the sea is spectacular and the whole area is very scenic. "An excellent stay in a good property, in an ideal location for Dogs Bay. We were disappointed that the garden shrubs screened the view of the bay. We were unable to make the heating system work ideally for us. We would have appreciated a change of bed linen during our 3 week stay. In all other respects a lovely property which we enjoyed greatly."

"This was just a marvelous place to stay. The house was a great location and equipped with you need. All the information we received was spot on accurate. We had great Irish weather - sunny some days, windy and rainy others. The School House was like a safe harbor. Plenty to do in the area - hiking, shopping, great food at local restaurants, convenient grocery shopping. Thanks to the owners. A great memory. "

"The cottage is located in an area where you can discover many beautiful areas by car. The cottage has all the bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room on the ground floor. The upper floor is locked. It is a bit damp so bring your thick socks. Electricity was a bit of a hassle for us but there was 2 euro coins provided for us to use in the meter. "What a great stay! My daughters said it was the best place we stayed on our whole trip, and wish we stayed longer. We loved the remote location and beautiful setting. It is just a short walk past fields of grazing sheep and cows to Carrowinsky Strand, which is a stunning beach. The owner provided a packet with helpful information in nearby Louisburgh. "We absolutely loved the location of this property!! It is isolated, surrounded by the ocean inlets. Be prepared for the narrow roads and the one lane dirt road that brings you out on the island. "We booked this cozy cottage for two weeks in mid-October. Donna was wonderful. She reached out prior to the stay to chat through the VRBO site and as we got closer she shared things to do and see in Louisburgh and other close towns. We communicated through Whats App once we landed at Shannon Airport (2.5 hours away).
