"I loved the location -- it was within walking distance of other restaurants. We were always able to get chairs and umbrellas on the beach, without having to get up early in the morning to save them. The water was beautiful. It was our third time in Barbados and our favorite hotel so far. We liked getting breakfast to go at the cafe -- better than the buffet, which was expensive and had too many scavenging birds. The beach and pool were quiet during the day, which I appreciated. Would book here again."

"We spent five wonderful nights at The SoCo. The highlights of our trip were the kind, accommodating, and FUN staff, relaxing often on our private balcony with the most breathtaking view of the ocean, delicious food and drink, and snorkeling along the jetty and breakfront at the beach. Seriously - bring a mask and snorkel. We were close enough to take short cab rides to other destinations or walk along the beautiful boardwalk to other nightlife. We both wish we elected to stay longer. As others mentioned, the car horns are loud, but you don’t hear them when you are at the beach, restaurant, or pool. Horn culture is just different than in the States. Also, I love a hot shower, but that’s was not to be had, which was ok as the weather was beautifully warm. The property could use some maintenance, but our room was clean, cool (air conditioning worked super well), and comfortable. The outside areas facing the ocean are beautiful as is the restaurant area. The food was great. The portions were perfect for me and while my partner has a larger appetite, they were always willing to accommodate. Also, I’m a vegetarian and only one meal they didn’t have an option for me, but allowed me to build a meal of anything I wanted from the menu or had in the kitchen. Again, we wish we had the ability to stay longer! Michelle, Darren, Zack, Shereen, and Tobey were just some of the wonderful employees we met there. I will miss waking up to the beautiful view!"

"I absolutely recommend Sugar Bay and I hope to return soon. The restaurant staff, the bar staff, the beach staff, the grounds staff, the cleaning staff, the maintenance staff, the staff that welcomes you the moment you arrive and check in are smiling and friendly. They are all helpful and recognize the "deer caught in headlights" look when you don't know what you are doing. All of the staff at this resort make you fall in love with Sugar Bay and more importantly, the people of Barbados. The food is delicious, the spa is worth it and don't forget to make reservations at the restaurants. Now, I agree that there are some small updates/upgrades that could be made around the resort but you don't notice things like that unless you are looking for them. My best friend and I had a maintenance issue with our room and that was handled. It wasn't due to an upgrade that we could see that was needed. :) My biggest tip is to remember that you are hopefully there to relax and have a wonderful time away from your daily grind. Please remember that your kindness matters. Sadly, we witnessed a couple of unkind patrons, only a couple, who forgot this but I will say that the Sugar Bay staff handled these patrons' unkindness with grace and an over abundance of kindness in return. As a whole you will find yourself surrounded by happy people, staff and fellow vacationers, at this resort and you will leave refreshed. "

"Excellent location just across road from beach. Spotlessly clean and staff so friendly and helpful...any issues raised were resolved immediately. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and convenient for venturing further afield as bus stop and taxi rank on road outside. Definitely recommend."

"The staff at Adulo are wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. They gave us great tips and booked a taxi when needed. It was a great holiday that was even better than the last time we stayed here with the new addition of a beautiful pool. "

"Nicole was awesome! Very simple check in including an in person greeting soon our arrival. She was available in a timely matter when we needed to communicate with her. The location of her place is more than ideal. There are so many incredible restaurants within walking distance. The beach is across the street, for a perfect sunset view every night. Location is perfectly situated on the main road between historic Bridgetown and the lively areas of Oistins and St. Lawrence Gap.The pool is conveniently located 10 steps away from the units patio. The air conditioning was highly effective when we needed some relief from that Barbados heat. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and was equipped with all the necessities that we required.
