It’s difficult to put into words what a wonderful time we had at this property. First of all, the pictures of the property are beautiful, then you see it first hand and it literally wows you! Such a charming, unique home. It’s surprisingly large and very comfortable. At the end of the day, it was nice to curl up on one of the many couches, wrap ourselves up in blankets and either read or relive our day. The pool table never rested while we were there - we had one son who broke his arm right before the trip. We thought he was going to be sad, missing out on tubing and knee-boarding, but he turned into quite the little pool hustler. The lake is lively with friendly people enjoying all kinds of water activities. Yet, it’s peaceful and calm as well. The sunsets!!! Every night, they were breathtaking! The owner is very nice to work with. We had no problems at all, just a friendly conversation. The neighbors were even great! We really liked them - so friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be in town for the Caladium festival - a local art/plant/car festival. We made 2 trips there and came home with some local art and beautiful native plants. I have to say, the people in Lake Placid are some of the warmest, friendliest people I have ever met. Even the trips to Publix were enjoyable. You won’t regret the memories you make at this beautiful home! We look forward to going back, as do our children and extended family. Thank you for an incredible, memorable summer vacation - looking forward to our next visit!
