We were vacationing with our daughter & her family, they were staying in the adjacent bungalow, also listed by Vrbo. Our daughter’s bungalow looked new on the inside – paint, wallpapers, floor, appliances all good; in our – the wall plaster was slaking all over; stained bedsheet, heat and some light switches did not work properly (or worked off & on, with an old nonfunctional wall heater further confusing the issue) and we had to call the manager; a skylight started leaking the third day with water pouring down in the kitchen area and they had to install a new skylight… In short, we did not enjoy our stay & if we did not have our daughter in the next bungalow, where we ended up spending more of our indoors time, we might have called a ruined vacation.
Our request for waving some rental cost as a compensation for all the inconveniences and as a gesture of goodwill has so far gone unheeded; a month passed & we have not heard anything from the management.
